Lithium Battery Manufacturer - We understand your requirements and meet your needs
The difference between lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries
  1. Safety comparison
The safety of power lithium batteries (lithium manganese oxide, lithium iron phosphate) differs depending on the materials. Lead-acid battery technology is quite mature and is safer than lithium batteries.
  2. Environmental protection comparison
Lithium batteries have no pollution, while lead-acid batteries have pollution from heavy metal lead. Therefore, electric vehicles using lead-acid batteries will still pollute the environment.
  3. Price comparison
The price of lithium batteries with the same capacity on the market is more than double that of lead-acid batteries. This is why electric cars using lithium batteries are more expensive.
  4. Energy comparison
The mass ratio, volume ratio, and energy ratio of lithium batteries are about 40% higher than that of lead-acid batteries.
    5 Self-discharge rate comparison
The monthly self-discharge of lithium batteries is less than 3%, while that of lead-acid batteries is 15~30%, which is a big difference.
  5. Comparison of service life
At present, the commonly used lithium iron phosphate has no memory effect after being charged 1500 times. After charging 1500 times, the storage capacity is about 85%, while the storage capacity of lead-acid batteries will be reduced significantly after about 500 times, and the memory effect is obvious. Therefore, electric vehicle batteries using lithium batteries will have a longer service life.
  6. Voltage platform comparison
The voltage platform of lithium batteries is greater than 3V, and the lead-acid battery is 2V.
  7. Comparison of discharge characteristics
Simply put, for batteries with the same capacity, lithium batteries can discharge about 30% more electricity than lead-acid batteries under high current discharge.
  8. Durability
Lithium batteries have strong durability and good vibration resistance. When fully charged, the battery is securely fixed, consumes slowly, can be charged and discharged more than 500 times, and has no memory. Its general life span is 4 to 5 years. Lead-acid batteries generally have memory within 400 deep charges and deep discharges, and have a lifespan of about two years. If you are using a maintenance-free lead-acid battery, it should be noted that the battery loses little water and there is generally no need to add distilled water during use.
