The replacement of lithium-ion batteries for energy storage with lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles depends on the situation. Of course, it is considered impossible in most cases. Energy storage lithium-ion batteries have higher service life requirements than power lithium-ion batteries. The service life of new energy cars is generally 5-8 years, while the service life of new energy storage technology projects is generally more than ten years. The service life of the power lithium-ion battery cycle system reaches 1000 to 2000 times, while the energy storage lithium-ion battery generally reaches 3500 times.

The energy storage lithium-ion battery is a conventional lithium-ion battery, which generally supports stable discharge performance within 1C rate. Below we assume that the energy storage lithium-ion battery (non-power type) and the electric vehicle lithium-ion battery have the same capacity, and both belong to the lithium iron phosphate battery or the polymer lithium ion battery. The general application scenarios of lithium iron phosphate batteries for energy storage are some conventional electronic equipment, such as information base stations, some 3C electronic products, etc. Most of their discharge requirements are below 1C rate, in this case , the performance of the materials used in the manufacture of lithium iron phosphate batteries will be relatively poor. For example, in terms of diaphragms, because low-rate discharge lithium-ion batteries are not easy to heat, the diaphragms will be worse than power batteries in terms of temperature resistance. , the natural price is relatively low.

In terms of internal resistance, due to the small discharge current of energy storage lithium iron phosphate batteries, the internal resistance is generally larger than that of power batteries, that is to say, although energy storage lithium ion batteries and power lithium ion batteries use The type of battery material is the same, but the quality of the same material, the energy storage lithium-ion battery is slightly worse, and the internal resistance will be higher, so in terms of overall price, generally speaking, the energy storage lithium-ion battery is higher than the power iron phosphate. Lithium-ion batteries are cheaper.

So whether the energy storage lithium-ion battery and the electric vehicle lithium-ion battery can be used interchangeably, the first thing to look at is whether the two batteries are of the same type, then whether the batteries are the same in capacity, and finally whether the energy storage lithium-ion battery is the same. Whether the stable discharge current supported by the ion battery can support the requirements of the lithium-ion battery of electric vehicles when driving, and whether the maximum allowable current meets the requirements for short-term use of electric vehicles.
