Ordinary lithium-ion battery has an energy density of 200Wh/kg. Recently, GEB R&D department worked out a series of new battery cathode and anode materials. By using these new battery materials, GEB new battery reachs an energy density of 250Wh/kg, 25% higher energy density than other battery manufactures. This energy density set up a new world record in the field of lithium battery industries. The first application of such high energy battery is for solar car race. A solar car requests a low weight and high energy density. GEB battery will be shipped to a Japanese company for solar car application.
